Welcome to my Campaign website.

My name is David Arland Cessna Sr. Most people that know me, call me Clammerhead. It is a nickname given to me by a friend that has since passed on. The name as well as the memory of the friend, Kenneth ( Curly ) Whealton, has been with me ever since.

I was born in Duval County, Florida, on August 1st 1960. I have lived in Carteret County most of my life. I come from a commercial fishing family and we were in Florida when I was born, but returned home to Beaufort shortly after. Although I have traveled most of the United States of America and a few other places, I have always returned to and called Carteret County my home.

I am married to a wonderful woman, Christina. Between us,we have 13 children. Some of them are my biological children, some of them are her biological children some of them are from a previous marriage, and some of them are adopted. It really doesn't matter where they came from, they are all very special to us and we are thankful for them.

I have worked in the commercial fishing industry since I was 6 years old, in both North Carolina and other states. Over the many years that I have been in the work force, I have driven delivery trucks, worked in construction, along with the commercial fishing industry and several other vocations.

I attended school in Beaufort then at East Carteret High School. Although I did not graduate with my class, I later received a GED, with Honors, from Carteret Community College.

I presently own a multifaceted business, based in Smyrna, The Clammerhead Group. Our company consist of a Construction Division, Personal Service Division, and a Cleaning Division.

I am Chairman of an Environmental Organization, The Polluted Loon. We concentrate primarily on the precious waters of Carteret County, but are also involved with other aspects of our environment. Including the Adopt A Highway Program in North Carolina.

I am an Assistant Coach and Field Marshal in the Seashore Soccer League.

I am as comfortable with the name Clammerhead as I am David, but I never cared to be called Mr. Cessna.

                                                                                                       Thank You,
David Arland  ( Clammerhead ) Cessna Sr.
